VETERANS

Our nation has a duty to make sure that the men and women who served our country are taken care of. No veteran should ever end up homeless or find themselves struggling to get adequate medical treatment.

David supports providing additional funding to the VA to update facilities/technology and hire additional staff.

David also supports granting veterans increased access to non-VA care without having to pay out-of-pocket.

David supports legislation that would exempt active duty service members and combat veterans (up to the 24% tax bracket) from paying federal incomes taxes.

Furthermore, it is a sad reality that many of our great veterans die by suicide each year. Mental health is an issue that has been ignored or treated as a taboo for far too long. Our government has more than enough resources to ensure that our veterans are provided with as much access to quality mental health care as needed.
